Look into the pass for multiple trips if staying a week or so
We used the Skytrain often during our 3 weeks in Bangkok. Getting the pass for multiple trips saves money as well as time spent queuing. Worth deciding on the pass before you queue so pressure is not on at the counter. We stayed in the interesting Silom area (many food stalls in Street during the day) & a great shopping centre right next to skytrain station. We used skytrain a lot – down to the river, to Siam Plaza and to get to some interesting parts of Bangkok as the roads often get choked with traffic. Even though taxis are cheap, trains are so much quicker & efficient.
